Music Monday - King Krule!

If you haven't heard the name King Krule over the past week or so, then you must have been living under a rock!

The just-turned-19 year old singer has become the darling of the blogosphere with the release of his first studio album, '6 Feet Beneath The Moon', with critics likening his sound to that of Edwyn Collins and Morrissey.

Its been 3 years since King Krule released his first single 'Out Getting Ribs', but it looks as if right now the rest of the music world is beginning to realise that he is something special, with nominations to the BBC Sound Of 2013 poll and rumoured collaborations with Frank Ocean in the works.

King Krule's young life has not been easy though, after refusing to attend school, he was given a home tutor and subsequently sent to two centres for the permanently excluded, he also suffered from insomnia and was put through rigorous tests for mental illness at London's Maudsley Hospital.

Perhaps these experiences are what allow his sings to be peppered with a romantic melancholy, which has seen him draw comparisons to the punk poets of the past, whatever is causing it, we aren't complaining, if you haven't already, go check out his album now!
